Sept 3, 2016: Teacher’s day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm on 3rd September 2016. This Auspicious day started with the assembly of all the students of Padua Institute and 99 teachers which was presided by our Correspondent Rev Fr Antony Serrao and all the heads of the Institution: Degree Principal Rev Fr Alwin Serrao, PU Principal Mrs Gladys Aloysius, High School HM Mr Francis D’cunha and the Primary HM Mrs Celine Pinto. Our Correspondent appreciated the efforts of all the teachers, wished a happy teacher’s day and also presented all the teachers with a gift.
The students of Padua College of Commerce and Management organised a small program to all the teachers on this day at 11.00 am in the college auditorium. The program consisted of felicitation to Sir S Radhakrishnan by all the teachers by offering him flowers, lighting of the lamp, felicitation to all the teachers by the students, cultural program by students and also some fun games to the teachers. The program came to a end with a very happy note as the students declared that the excess amount (Rs 2300) collected from the students on behalf of the teacher’s day was to be donated to a Orphanage in Vamanjoor.
