Konkani club of our Institute organized a “Voviyo Verse”- a workshop on the traditional Konkani voviyo and verse on 3rd August 2016 in the college auditorium. Mrs Irene Rebello was the resource person for this workshop. She first explained about the history of voviyo and sang many voviyo, also explained about the modern voviyo and trained the students to sing this different voviyo. The main purpose of this workshop was to uplift the Konkani culture and tradition. Students were also given a hard copy which contained the different voviyos. The inauguration of this workshop was also made in a traditional way by breaking the coconut. At the end of the program our Principal Rev Fr Alwin Serrao gave his views to the students. The host for this program was Mr.Elwin. Ms Clerita welcomed the gathering and Ms Roshni proposed the vote of thanks.
