Aug 19, 2016: Red Cross Club and NSS club of our Institute organized a talk on “First aid for life” for all the NSS and sports club students on 5th August 2016 at 2.00 pm. The Resource people for this talk were Dr. Akshay - Assosiate Prof. Dept of Community Medicine Yenapoya Medical College (YMC), Dr. Meghna - Asst Prof. Dept of Anaesthesia YMC, Dr. Ashwini Shetty – Asst Prof. Dept of Anatomy YMC, Dr. Shameen Asst Prof. Anesthesia Dept YMC. The talk was divided into four parts where first resource person spoke about basic first aid, the second resource spoke about chocking and how to help a person when he is chocking and the third resource person spoke about CPR and then after the talk all the students were made in 10 teams and given a demonstration on the above talk.
